Abstract

The inclusion of women in the labor market has not eliminated the structural inequalities related to parenthood. Historically, domestic responsibilities and childcare have primarily fallen on women, leading to overload and difficulties in balancing career and personal life. This study aims to analyze the correlation between job satisfaction and parenthood, investigating whether the equitable division of parental responsibilities positively impacts job satisfaction. To achieve this, a quantitative study was conducted using questionnaires administered to professionals across different job levels. Statistical analysis, using Pearson’s Linear Correlation Coefficient, confirmed that work-life balance is a determining factor in job satisfaction. The findings indicate that despite increased paternal involvement in childcare, women still face a disproportionate burden, which can affect their performance and well-being in the workplace. The study also highlights the need for organizational and policy changes to promote gender equity and provide effective support for shared parenthood.
