VITIMISMO E VITIMOLOGIA NO CONTEXTO CRIMINAL DAS DESIGUALDADES

Abstract

This article aims to explore the concepts of victimhood and victimology, their social and psychological implications,and to point out the main differences between them. Through the analysis of literature and data, arguments will bepresented that demonstrate how these categories are studied and applied in different contexts, discussing the impacts ofthese phenomena on society, particularly in the areas of law and psychology.It refers to the suffering of the victim after the criminal act, especially that arising from the procedures adopted bypublic institutions during the criminal process. The objective was to demonstrate the way in which the current Braziliancriminal system imposes the process of victimization on the victim of the crime, in addition to analyzing therelationship between the said victim and the state agencies during the aforementioned process. To this end, anexploratory data analysis was carried out, based on the collection of information, through bibliographic reviews, inwhich it was found that the victim recognized the victimization.
