Abstract

Introduction: The discipline Integration, Teaching, Service and Community III of the Medicine course at the University of Grande Rio – Professor José de Souza Herdy (UNIGRANRIO-AFYA) and as part of its teaching-learning methodology, accompanied by teachers, students perform , in his practice, a Singular Therapeutic Project (STP), having the opportunity to accompany a family through this action. Objective: This experience report aims to describe the experiences of medical students during the STP. Methodology: This work was carried out by academics from the Medicine course at UNIGRANRIO-AFYA, Barra da Tijuca – Rio de Janeiro (RJ), supervised by their professors at the eESF responsible for the micro-area where the reported experiences occurred. To avoid identification, a flower codename was assigned to the family living in the micro-area in which the STP developed. Results: In the students' perception, the STP, as a training action, was substantial for their training, due to the closer contact with the family in question, which provided familiarization with the work that is carried out daily by the Family Health Team and the contact with realities completely different from their daily lives. Conclusion: The STP was perceived by medical students as a tool that provides the establishment of bonds and the joint resolution of health needs. The opportunity to participate in its implementation, while still undergrad, enabled them to add experiences that were presented and discussed in this report, contributing to their training with an emphasis on Primary Health Care.
