Abstract

The study addresses the promising potential of beauty salons and barbershops, which face challenges related to the availability of professionals, schedules, and waiting times. Data indicates that 67% of customers wish to book appointments online, optimizing busy schedules. The study proposes the development of a scheduling app to streamline the process, enhancing business management. The methodology is predominantly quantitative, involving experiments in barbershops and salons after the app's development, with data collection through interviews with owners. The literature review prioritizes articles on mobile apps, scheduling, and software development. The app will be developed using React Native technology, allowing it to be used on both Android and iOS, with a SQL Server database and hosting on AWS. Evaluation will take place in real scenarios, with evaluators using the app for two weeks to provide feedback on usability and effectiveness, validating its positive impact on the management of beauty establishments. Overall, the study promotes the strategic integration of technology to enhance the management and operation of beauty establishments, addressing the needs of customers and entrepreneurs in the sector.
