INTERCORRÊNCIAS NA APLICAÇÃO DE ÁCIDO HIALURÔNICO NO PREENCHIMENTO LABIAL: UM RELATO DE CASO

Abstract

The quest for facial harmony accompanies man throughout his evolution. Recently, numerous techniques aim to make the face and, above all, the lips more harmonious. Among the materials used, hyaluronic acid stands out. However, these procedures are not free of intercurrences, so it is necessary to carry out studies within this theme. In this context, this study aims to analyze the intercurrences in the application of hyaluronic acid in lip filler, through a case report, in order to instigate reflection on the possible causes and the appropriate resources to avoid or correct its incidence. The experience of a 19-year-old girl who underwent a lip filling procedure with hyaluronic acid, from the Rennova Lift-Lido brand, performed in July 2021, using the conventional needle technique, in a single session, under anesthesia, was reported. site, with application of less than 1ml of the product. This study demonstrated that hyaluronic acid is widely used and that some situations corroborate the incidence of adverse situations, but the possibility of its reversal mitigates the adverse consequences arising from this type of intercurrence. It is possible to conclude that lip filling with hyaluronic acid, although safe, can evolve into a condition that requires its removal to ensure the physical and emotional integrity of the patient. In addition, there was the emergence of new products for specific use for lip filling with hyaluronic acid, considered an alternative way to mitigate complications such as the one described in this case report.
